Do you buy collections or can I sell my gemstones to you?
We do not purchase collections or personal gemstones. All of our pieces are obtained directly through our trusted suppliers in Sri Lanka.
Can you certify a gemstone I own?
We can recommend a gemstone laboratory however, we are not qualified to do any in-house certifications.

Are all your gemstones natural?
Yes. All of our gemstones are 100% natural, and a large majority of them are unheated. If a piece in heated, we will explicitely note it in the listing to ensure full transparency in the sale. We do not carry any colour enhanced, dyed or synthetic gemstones.
Are your gemstones certified?
We carry a mix of both certified and non-certified gemstones. If you purchase a piece that is not certified but would like the peace of mind, we can assist in the certification process including referrals to reliable gem labs. All costs associated with the shipping and certification process would be at the buyers expense.
What is ethical sourcing
Ethical sourcing encompasses the fair trade and equal pay of all employees and members involved in the sourcing and processing of the gemstones. All organizations abide by the laws and regulations of the country. We do not support activities which negatively impact the life and well-being of its employees and partners.
Where are your gemstones sourced?
Although many of our pieces are sourced directly in Sri Lanka, some types of our gemstones are not commonly found in that part of the world. In these circumstances, unfinished product in imported into Sri Lanka where our suppliers have it cut and polished to meet their requirements.
Do you sell Diamonds?
No. In order to remain competitive and unique in the gemstone market, we do not carry any sort of Diamonds.
Do you sell unfinished or rough specimens?
No. Sri Lanka’s economy is very strongly backed by the cutting and finishing of gemstones. Removing unfinished gemstones from the country removes a lot of capital from those who need it to survive. By having our pieces finished, we support the advancement of the economy.
Do you take custom orders?
We would be happy to discuss your custom gemstone requirements. All custom orders require a 50% non-refundable deposit prior to purchasing the gemstone from our supplier, once a suitable piece is sourced.
Do you sell finished jewellery?
No. We strictly focus on providing high quality loose gemstones.
Can you refer me to a jeweller or goldsmith?
Yes. We have many industry connections to talented creators within Alberta. Unfortunately, we are unable to recommend jewellers outside of Alberta at this time.

Do you provide tracking?
Yes. All packages are shipped with tracking to ensure both buyer and seller protection.
What service providers do you use when shipping?
We frequently use Canada Post, UPS, FedEx and Purolator when shipping. Your carrier will be determined based on cost and required coverages post-checkout.
Do you provide shipping insurance?
All items are shipped with an basic insurance cover of $100 CAD. Insurance above this amount is an additional cost at the request and expense of the buyer. It is the buyers responsibility to resolve all issues relating to shipping with the service provider. Colour your World with Gems will not compensate financial loses or offer free replacements of lost or damaged goods. It is the buyers discretion to ensure all items are fully insured to cover any potential loss.
Can I combine shipping on multiple purchases?
Yes. Please add all items to your cart prior to purchase. All orders will be shipped together to save money on shipping costs. If you would like us to hold an order while you purchase additional items, please note this at the time of order. We will contact you with further information.
Do you off local pick-up or drop-off?
No. All orders will be mailed. Please send us an email to discuss any questions or concerns in regards to this.

What methods of payment do you accept?
We accept all major providers of Debit, VISA and Mastercard. Canadian buyers may also pay using Interac e-Transfer. Please contact us prior to making your purchase if you would like to pay using e-Transfer, we will send an invoice which you can pay on manually.
Do you offer lay away or financing?
No. At this time, we do not offer payment plans or financing.
What is the return policy?
Returns and exchanges are not accepted. However, if you experience an issue with your order or receive an incorrect item, please reach out to us immediately. We will review options to ensure your experience remains positive.
